Ajira Lathan was a squirrel born in Southsward to Naraya Lathan and her husband Carax.
When Ajira was a young maid, she took her mother's bow and arrows and went wandering. Her travels brought her into contact with a hare general from Salamandastron, Vadra Maral; she spent six seasons with the Long Patrol and made some good friends during her service.
